In everyday life, iodide is most commonly encountered as a component of iodized salt, which many governments mandate. 1120-90-7, formula is C5H4IN, Name is 3-Iodopyridine. Worldwide, iodine deficiency affects two billion people and is the leading preventable cause of intellectual disability. Product Details of C5H4IN.
Andresini, Michael;Spennacchio, Mauro;Colella, Marco;Losito, Gianluca;Aramini, Andrea;Degennaro, Leonardo;Luisi, Renzo research published 《 Sulfinimidate Esters as an Electrophilic Sulfinimidoyl Motif Source: Synthesis of N-Protected Sulfilimines from Grignard Reagents》, the research content is summarized as follows. In this work the reactivity of sulfinimidate esters as an electrophilic sulfinimidoyl motif source was investigated, for the first time. The reaction of such sulfinimidate esters with Grignard reagents enables the preparation of protected sulfilimines I [R1 = Ph, 4-ClC6H4, 3-MeOC6H4, etc.; R2 = Me, i-Pr, Ph, etc.] in high yields and with a remarkable structural variability. Moreover, the transformation could be performed in CPME (cyclopentyl Me ether) as a green solvent under environmentally responsible conditions.
Product Details of C5H4IN, 3-Iodopyridine is a heteroaryl halide. It undergoes microwave-assisted coupling with heterocyclic compounds (pyrazole, imidazole, pyrrole and indole) to afford the corresponding N-3-pyridinyl-substituted heterocyclic compounds.
3-Iodopyridine is a useful research chemical used as a reactant in the copper-catalyzed coupling of alkylamines and aryl iodides.
3-Iodopyridine is an isomeric compound that can be synthesized by cross-coupling reactions. This compound has been shown to have nicotinic acetylcholine receptor binding properties and may be useful in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. 3-Iodopyridine is a primary amino acid that can be used for the synthesis of amines, which are nitrogen nucleophiles. It has been crystallized with halides and its x-ray structures have been determined. The nmr spectra of 3-iodopyridine show that it contains phosphorus and nitrogen atoms. 3-Iodopyridine is also able to take up nitrate ions from solution, which may be due to its uptake properties., 1120-90-7.
