Safarov, Yu. B. published the artcileResistance of sheep enterotoxemia agent to various chemical substances, SDS of cas: 6443-90-9, the publication is Izv. Akad. Nauk Azerb. SSR, Ser. Biol. i Med. Nauk (1962), 101-5, database is CAplus.
Chem. substances (20) were tested for inhibition of growth of Clostridium perfringens types C and D. Spore suspensions containing a billion cells/cc. were used as test objects. Sterile cloth (0.5 cm. × 0.5 cm.) was soaked in the resp. spore suspension, dried, exposed to 3 cc. of solution and tested for viability. All solutions containing Cl demonstrated a bactericidal action, increasing with temperature The most effective are: acidified bleaching powder and monochloroiodine compounds Acids and alkali solutions are ineffective at low temperature, but strongly inhibitory at 60°. The bactericidal effect of the following substances is enhanced by a combined treatment at different temperatures: solutions of bleaching powder, acidified bleaching powder, monochloroiodines, pyridine iodochlorideHCl, and of OH with etherane 138 (a crude-oil product). The spores of C. Perfringens type D are more resistant than those of type C.
Izv. Akad. Nauk Azerb. SSR, Ser. Biol. i Med. Nauk published new progress about 6443-90-9. 6443-90-9 belongs to iodides-buliding-blocks, auxiliary class Pyridines, name is Pyridine Iodochloride complex, and the molecular formula is C5H5ClIN, SDS of cas: 6443-90-9.
