Herein, a regioselective intermol. three-component vicinal diamination of styrenes with acetonitrile and azodicarboxylates is reported. The diamination products can be produced in moderate to excellent yields via the Ritter reaction. Synthetic applications and theor. studies of this reaction have been conducted.
