General procedure: Aryl, benzyl or allyl halides (1.0mmol), arylboronic acid (1.2mmol), K2CO3 (1.5mmol), C1 (5×10-6 mol%) and H2O (2.0mL) were added into a sealed tube and the mixture was stirred at 60C for a few hours. After the reaction, the aqueous phase was extracted with ethyl acetate for 3 times (3×7mL).
