A solution of Pd(PPh3)2Cl2 (0.26 g, 0.41 mmol), triethylamine (1.7 mL, 12.2 mmol), l-iodo-2-isopropylbenzene (1.0 g, 4.1 mmol), CuI (0.077 g, 0.41 mmol) and trimethylsilylacetylene (0.19 g, 0.81 mmol) in DMF (15 mL) was heated for 30 min at 80 0C.
