The reaction mixture was then diluted with water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was then dried over Na2SO4, concentrated and purified by column chromatography to get 4.3 g of the desired product. 1H NMR (CDCl3) delta 7.30-7.25 (m, 2H), 7.18 (s, IH), 7.05-6.95 (m, IH), 2.28 (s, 3H), 0.24 (s, 9H).
