In the current research, preparation, characterization and catalytic application of a novel Schiff-base/Pd complex immobilized onto graphene oxide (GO-SB/Pd) are investigated. The GO-SB/Pd was characterized using Fourier transform IR spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric anal., diffuse reflectance UV-Vis, Raman spectroscopy, SEM (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) anal. It was found that the GO-SB/Pd is an efficient catalyst in the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of phenylboronic acid with aryl halides. Moreover, the catalyst could be easily recycled and reused for several times without discernible loss in activity.
