General procedure: To a stirred solution of compound 12 (120 mg, 0.25 mmol, 1 equiv.) in THF (10 mL) was added freshly prepared Ag2O (174 mg, 0.75 mmol, 3 equiv.) and MeI (51 muL, 1.25 mmol, 5 equiv.), then the resulting reaction mixture was stirredat 50 C for 3 hours. After been cooled to room temperature, the reaction mixture was filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel flash chromatography (hexanes : EtOAc = 2:1) to give the desired products.
