Water (30 mL) was added to the mixture, and then extractedwith ethyl acetate (15 mL) for three times. The extraction waswashed with saturated NaCl solution, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residuewas purifiedby column chromatography on silica gel using petroleum ether/ethyl acetate (8:1) as the eluent to give 8 as a light brown solid(269 mg, 83% yield).
