The reaction mixture was allowed to stir at 110 °C (X=I) or 130 °C (X= Br) for 24 h. Then the mixture was cooled to room temperature and added 5.0 mL brine. Subsequently, the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layers were collected, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and the solvent was removed under vacuum. The residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel.
