The amber residue was diluted with DCM and purified by flash chromatography (770 g Supelco VersaPak SiO2 column) and eluted with a DCM/hexane gradient (0 to 40% DCM) in 10 column volumes to afford 8.61 g of 82b as a yellow crystalline solid.
