Elution with ethyl acetate gave isomer (6) as a white solid (3.16 g, 63%). Elution with methanol/ethyl acetate (5: 95) gave the required product (5) as a foamy solid (4.92 g-contains sodium iodide as well). This material was used directly in the next step. APCI-MS Found [M+H] =416,414.
